Foooood

Helen showed me a thai street food blog which has made me hungry. Thought I'd pick my favourites off there and write a list so when I'm hungry in BKK I know what to order! :) 

khanom krok (ขนมครก)
khao pad gai (ข้าวผัดไก่)
pad gra pao moo sup kai dao (ผัดกระเพราหมูสับไข่ดาว)
moo satay (หมูสะเต๊) (or gai!)
khao niew moo ping (ข้าวเหนียวหมูปิ้ง)
kuay tiao luk chin pla (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวลูกชิ้นปลา)
tod mun pla (ทอดมันปลา)
pad thai kung sod (ผัดไทยกุ้งสด)


I've had my letter of appointment and so can hand in my notice here. The flat is on the market so fingers crossed. Passport is on its way too. All very scary and exciting! 

Next step

It's been a month since my interview and things have moved on although not too quickly. I've had the contracts through, they've been signed and returned. I've also had a range of paperwork to complete before I'll get my formal letter of appointment which has all be done and sent off. I'll be glad when I have that and all the packs of information so I can start planning. 


Had the flat valued and been to see the bank manager. Got to get my passport renewed and look into pensions/NI. Gaz has sorted me out with a new laptop so I can get skype and itunes and photos all sorted before I go. Will definitely be buying myself a Cath Kidston laptop bag when I get out there!


Feeling pretty excited about things now. The fear has dispersed a bit (although I'm sure it'll be back!) and with everything that has happened, I'm feeling more sure that I've made the right choice. It still all seems quite surreal though. I'm not sure it'll even feel real when I'm out there! We'll see!
